Wow…what a finals weekend (if you’re into football) but if not, we had a great AGM last week that could be called KNH’s Grand Final for 2019.
On Saturday we are looking forward to a GWS v Tigers Grand Final at the MCG.
Kingston Neighbourhood House Annual General Meeting
On Wednesday 18th of September we held our AGM. We presented our Annual Reports to our Financial Members and guests.
Our Auditor, Richard Jolly, from Crowe Horwath presented our audited financial reports.
We also had the very pleasing opportunity to present a cake to Shirley for her 89th birthday which coincided with the AGM, happy birthday Shirley.
We farewelled our departing Board Members and thanked them for their contribution and we welcomed a new Management Committee.

Neighbourhood Houses Tasmania (NHT) Conference
The Annual Neighbourhood House Tasmania (NHT) is happening this week in Devonport.
Drew and Linda are attending on behalf of the House and will bring back information from a variety of sessions including Cormac Russell.
Keynote speaker – Cormac Russell
Cormac is Managing Director of Nurture Development in Ireland, and a faculty member of the Asset-Based Community Development (ABCD) Institute at Northwestern University, Chicago. Over the last 20 years Cormac has worked in over 30 countries around the world. He has trained communities, agencies, NGOs and governments in ABCD and other strengths based approaches in Kenya, Rwanda, Southern Sudan, South Africa, the UK, Ireland, Sweden, the Netherlands, Canada and Australia.
Family Fund Day is returning to Maranoa Reserve on Friday 18th October

ySPACE Youth Activities Program – Tuesday at 3.00pm
YsPACE Youth Activities returns to KNH this week, hosted by Sarah Johns from Kingborough Council and Karen and Mel (KNH Volunteers).
Tuesday’s activities are creative arts, creating a decorative keepsake box. The program welcomes children aged 10-17 so please tell anyone who may be interested.
