Family Matters Program – a couple of places left

We are only a couple of weeks away from our Family Matters program commencing (30th April) and we have a couple of spaces available if you, or someone you know, are interested in taking part.

FAMILY MATTERS is a program for parents who want to learn more about:

  • First Aid for children
  • Circle of Security
  • Healthy school lunch ideas
  • Managing money

The program has the Circle of Security at its core and FREE Child Care is provided.

Please contact David on 03 6229 4066 or call in to discuss.

Neighbourhood House Week – 8th May @ 12 noon

A popular vote says we will be blowing bubbles simultaneously with 35 other Neighbourhood Houses across Tasmania finishing with a BBQ.

The event is open to all community members, especially families with young children, although, as we all know, bubbles bring out the child in all of us.

I’ll send a Calendar invite as a reminder for everyone.

Here is a link to Questacon The National Science and Technology Centre for a bubble recipe.

Flu Shots

Please consider getting your Flu Shot this year. We support a healthy workplace and try to reduce the presence of communicable diseases as much as possible. The shots cost $19.95 (no concession) and are generally available from local pharmacies – it may be worth ringing to make a booking or you can book online.

Volunteer Wanted

We are looking for a volunteer to support ySpace Youth Program activities in Term 2 at Kingston Neighbourhood House.

The ySpace Youth Program is a weekly activity and event program during school term. You will be required to have a current Working with Vulnerable People Check and National Police Check (KNH can organise that for you).

If you are interested please contact Sanae or David on 6229 4066.
