Kingston Neighbourhood House Board Meeting

The first KNH Management Committee Meeting was held on Wednesday night last week with the new Management Committee members elected at the AGM.

We wish all the new and continuing members the very best for their time on the Management Committee and we look forward to supporting their tenure.

We are very appreciative of all the work NHT has done recently to develop governance and general resources for Neighbourhood Houses – click here to view NHT webpage.

Kingston Neighbourhood House address to Kingborough Council Safety Committee

KNH, represented by Drew, Linda and Drew spoke to the Kingborough Council Safety Committee chaired by Deputy Mayor Jo Westwood on Monday 30 September.

We discussed our perception of safety concerns we have seen from an organisational and community point of view.  In particular we mentioned the lack of amenities/facilities for a number of groups including a safe place for youth activities, elders and those with mental health concerns.

School Holidays Excursion – cancelled

Due to limited numbers we have decided to cancel our School Holiday excursion to Dru Point tomorrow.

We have found that there are a wide variety of school holiday activities occurring at the same time which has impacted on our expressions of interest.

Maranoa Reserve Clean up 2.30pm to 4.30pm Friday 18 October at Maranoa Reserve

In the lead up to the Family Fun Day, we are helping with a clean up, as we have done previously, to ensure our environment is clean and safe for people to enjoy.

Please come along and help us to make our park a great place to have a Family Fun Day.

Family Fun Day – 5pm Friday 18 October at Maranoa Reserve

The Family Fun Day is returning to Maranoa Reserve, next to KNH, on Friday 18th October at 5.00PM.
