Weekly Update W/E 14/6/2019

Good Morning Everyone, we hope your really enjoyed and extra day over the weekend.

I know many people were very happy with Carlton’s win over Brisbane on the weekend and if you want to hear the Club theme song, please click here.

We had an interesting week with 3 Letters to the Editor being published, see below…and we are keen for as many people as possible to come along on Friday and help with the Park Clean-up and enjoy a BBQ afterwards.

2019 Tasmanian Volunteering Awards

KNH was very pleased to be invited to celebrate Edna Pennicott’s Tasmanian Lifetime Volunteering Achievement Award.

Edna’s commitment, dedication and honest approach to supporting people is valued across Kingborough and we are proud to have such a strong supporter and community member supporting KNH.

Congratulations Edna.

Family, Food & Fun Dinner

The FFF Evenings are going very well with some very positive feedback being received from families and comments about the fun the children are having, well done everyone – a great initiative.

Visit from Mayor of Kingborough – Dean Winter

Cr Dean Winter, Mayor of Kingborough, and Daniel Smee, Executive Manager Governance and Community Services, visited KNH last week to discuss developing the offer to manage additional space from the Reserve as part of developing a Community Garden, Community Shed and Youth Program.  We also discussed opportunities for greater support from the Council to assist the work we do with families and children.

Please keep your unloved Earn & Learn stickers coming into KNH and remember we also have a donation box at Woolworths Kingston Town.

Thank you for your support.
